Caramilk Molten Cakes

Molten Cakes are one of the best desserts, but when you add Caramilk into the mix - YUM!

The best feeling is when you cut into it, and the inside just oozes out! These are simple to make, and take no time at all!

The only problem is that everyone’s oven is different, so if you tend to have a hotter oven then I would reduce the temp for 10c so they ooze when you cut into them,

These go perfectly with a side of vanilla ice cream - thank me later!

Prep Time: 15min

Cooking Time: 12-15mins

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 100g Caramilk

  • 80g butter

  • 75g caster sugar

  • 30g brown sugar

  • 2 TBS milk

  • 2 eggs, whisked

  • 50g flour

  • Icing Sugar for dusting

Method:

Preheat oven to 200c fan-forced

Melt butter and Caramilk in the microwave in 2 x 30 second bursts, stirring in between until melted and smooth

Whisk your eggs & sugars for about 4 minutes until they become pale and creamy

Add in the milk and mix until combined

Add in the melted Caramilk and butter and mix until combined

Add in the flour and mix until combined

Spray the ramekins with oil and dust them with icing sugar

Fill them up halfway with mixture

Bake for 12-15 mins - check on them at 12 mins - they are ready when they are set on top but wobbly.

Carefully run a butter knife around the edge to help pop them out

Flip onto a plate and dust with icing sugar

Serve immediately as they continue to cook.

Enjoy!
